Elefanten (The elephant)
”Abu Markúb och de hundrade elefanter” (Abu Markúb and the hundred elephants, 1925) is a film by Bengt Berg. The film is the result of a five-week African film expedition by Bengt Berg together with a Scottish major, with the giant bird Abu Markúb as the main objective. As well as the rare bird, the film documents the life of the enormous elephant herds with which the expedition was confronted in the wilderness regions of Sudan. The elephant, mainly due to its size, has always been looked at with both fear and admiration.
