The Ark

Very welcome to the Ark!

Our new spectacular hotel building Arken is a detached wooden building on three levels, where all 23 rooms have open south-facing terraces with an outstanding view of the safari park's savannah.

The hotel building, which has a maximum focus on sustainability with, among other things, a maintenance-free facade and sedum roof, gives the feeling of a boat that has landed in the farm environment. As a guest, you are invited to board a journey where you get to experience the animals and birds in their natural environment right outside the hotel room, in a comfortable and natural way, without disturbing the animals and nature, 365 days a year.

The comfortable beds are centered in the room and positioned so that you can lie and look out through large glass windows. Here you live in the middle of nature and have the opportunity to experience animals and nature up close. Maybe they'll see some bison and red deer grazing below the room or eagles circling the sky.

Some of the spacious rooms have glass floors that open onto a dining area below the building.

In the Ark their is also three unique close-to-nature suites. The furniture and interiors of the suites were created by the design duo Bernadotte & Kylberg, who has also set the theme for the other 20 rooms in the spectacular wooden hotel building. Furniture, lighting, art, flooring, and carpets have been specially designed for Eriksberg.

The hotel building is located in the farm environment near restaurants, reception, gym and Nature's spa - our relaxation area with sauna and the warm outdoor pool.

Breakfast is served in the Visenten restaurant.

The rooms in the Ark

We have designed a house that comes in shape from the traditional Swedish house. The roof is made of reeds, but the walls are covered with a polished patterned steel plate whose reflective properties aim to create the illusion of a dissolved house, which disappears in nature. It hovers over the ground over a dining area where the animals will eat. We get to follow that scene just a few meters from the animals through a glass plate in the floor.
