Double room in warm green colours with a spacious wooden deck and beautiful view over a meadow and the dam. Tastefully decorated with lovely fabrics that give it a cosy feel. Beautiful oak furniture and a large modern bathroom with exclusive design. It is easy to feel at home here, as the ceiling is high, almost five metres at its highest point, giving the room a nice sense of space. Here you can sit in one of the beautiful armchairs, relax with a glass of nice red wine at room temperature and sometimes see the animals as they graze on the meadow outside. If you are lucky you may also see the moufflon, which are sometimes on the slope a little further away. Located in Dammvillan, a beautiful half-timbered house with a thatched roof. Breakfast is served in the restaurant Visenten, but, if you prefer, it can be served in bed or on the wooden deck so you can enjoy the seclusion and closeness to nature.
Mufflonfåret (the moufflon)
The moufflon is the most timid of Eriksberg’s animals. It is also Europe’s only wild sheep and originates from Corsica and Sicily. Bengt Berg bought moufflon from Austria, which originated from the Mediterranean, for his farm in Kalmarsund. From there he brought the moufflon here and they then established themselves. Today, the moufflon at Eriksberg are considered among the most pure-bred moufflon in Sweden. Moufflon can be big trophies and many think they make an exotic addition to our nature.
