The double room Grepahemmet is located upstairs in the Jägarvillan. The upstairs rooms share bathrooms. Jägarvillan is suitable for families who want a nice but somewhat simpler accommodation.
Grepahemmet
Grepahemmet was named after a croft that existed on Eriksberg as early as 1725. Grep was a Swedish/Danish male name. ”Hem” has the meaning ”new settlement”. One of the first to live in the croft was ”Skallemestare” Nils Ryttare called ”Grepa-Nissen”. In 1713 Bengta Persdotter lived here, she was sentenced to death for arson. She had lit a fire at Jön's farm in Rörvik, the farm is next door to Eriksberg. In 1970, Åryd's fire brigade fired up the site for training purposes.
