Glamping

Glamorous camping

Size: 20 sqm • No. of persons in regular beds: 1–2 • Extra beds: 0

Stay in an architect-designed glamping tent, located on a mountain in the middle of the enclosed nature reserve with stunning view of one of the reserve’s lakes as well as one of the largest populations of the red water lily. The glamping tent at Eriksberg is hand made of 700 gram of the tent’s material is linen cloth bought straight from the East Indiaman ”Götheborg”. The decoration in the tent is designed to be unique and fit the concept with linen as a recurring textile, furniture carcasses of turned oak as tent poles and solid brass fittings, in line with timeless and exclusive design. The glamping is intendend for two adults. There is no electricity or running water and the toilet is a so called porta potti.

The architect Bertil Harström who designed several of the renowned Treehotel’s accommodation varieties is also the mind behind this tent.

The simple and hard-headed shape of the tent is inspired by the military history from the American civil war. The military connection is still present at Eriksberg due to the well preserved coastal bulwarks along the coastline. The founder of Eriksberg and internationally renowned author, photographer and nature preserver Bengt Berg also used similar tents as hideouts during his scientific studies and hunts on big game in Africa. These tents are preserved and part of an exhibition of Bengt Berg at Eriksberg.

The glamping is closed until further notice.
