Spacious suite in warm brown and beige colours with a big veranda and beautiful view over the Savannah. Very tasteful decor with a large double bed, genuine furniture and beautiful fabrics. Large and modern bathroom with exclusive design. The room is fully equipped including two LCD TVs, one of which is 46” with a connection for a laptop and a safe. The suite has a very spacious terrace with exceptional views over the peacefully roaming animals. It is easy to feel at home here, as it is a very personally decorated suite with views in two directions. In Baron Ruuth you can relax in the comfortable sofa with a glass of nice red wine at room temperature and just enjoy the restful environment that is common at Eriksberg. From the veranda, you may see the whole herd of European bison, which sometimes stops by Remmarna, on the way to new pastures. Breakfast is enjoyed in the restaurant Visenten, but, if you prefer, it can be served in bed or on the terrace so you can enjoy the seclusion and being close to nature.
Baron Ruuth
Eric Ruuth (1746–1820) was born in Stockholm. As a ten-year-old, he was sent to Karlskrona to become a cadet, as the family had a tradition of being naval warriors. In 1775, Eric Ruuth bought the estate Mahra Gård in Blekinge, and in 1781 he transferred his manor rights from Reinasilä in the County of Savolax in Finland to Mahra and at the same time renamed the estate Ericsberg. The beautiful manor house in which you are staying was built by Eric Ruuth at the end of the 1770s.
