Spacious double room in warm red colours with a big terrace and beautiful view over the dam. Tastefully decorated with genuine oak furniture, comfortable beds and beautiful fabrics. In the room Visenten you can relax in one of the comfortable leather armchairs with a glass of red wine at room temperature and just enjoy the view through the large panoramic windows and the glittering water outside where the whole herd of European bison sometimes stop on their way to new pastures. Breakfast is enjoyed in the restaurant Visenten, but, if you prefer, it can be served in bed or on the terrace so you can enjoy the seclusion and being close to nature. Mahravillan is adapted for people with disabilities.
Visenten (the European bison)
The European bison is the giant at Eriksberg. It is also known as wisent and is Europe’s biggest land-dwelling mammal. A bull can weigh up to 900 kilo. The European bison at Eriksberg are the biggest continuous herd in an enclosure and live free like the wild European bison. The animals are part of a unique breeding programme to preserve the species.
